I had been on pinterest, and was inspired by everything in the DIY section, so I decided I wanted to sew something! I rummaged through all the fabric in the basement, and could only find some pink & red flowery fabric, which I didn't love, but I came up with this

I cut out a few flowers

and sewed them on a boring white shirt I never wore!

Haha, I know, not that exciting, but I wanted to spice up some of my old tees I was planning to take to Mexico, so I thought this worked well!!

March Madness!

Driving to Cardston! We were planning to leave at 9, but it ended up being 12, add 2 hours of shopping at Plato's closet in Red Deer (best place to shop when you are poor! Consignment shop of new or gently brand name/in style clothes only, and cheaper than V.V!), having a mini car accident, stopping for snacks & we got there about 8!!

but while we were there, we got to visit friends & family, cross country ski in Waterton, watch Cardston win the 4A provincials for the 1st time in 58 years, get snowed-stormed in and getting to miss work, and stopped to shop Cross Iron Mills on our way home!

I got to visit jen for a bit, and we reminiced hawaii by wearing our matching boots we got there! (70% off at Macy's!) I wanted a picture, but it was a little too windy to be cute!

Last weekend, me & Jules tried making homemade coconut shrimp, as it was one of my favorite things in Hawaii! Except we bought the unpeeled shrimp so I had to peel it all-ewww they are sooo slimy!

We baked some in the oven and deep-fried some- of course the unhealthier ones tasted much better!

We did some in just plain, untoasted coconut....

& they came out like this! I think the oil in the pan was burnt:(!

But all in all it was quite a delicious experiment!

I have decided that I would way rather document my life on my blog than on my facebook, so I am going to be back at it! I am getting sooo excited for Mexico, in fact, it cannot possibly come fast enough! About 6 more weeks! & me & amy may be on the same flight to Utah! As hard as it will be not to be able to see her for a year and a half, I am also excited at the new turns our lives are taking! My tentative plan (If I don't have at least a 2 year plan, I get kinda panicky trying to figure out what to do with my life!) is to go to Mexico, then come home and work Fall semester, then do Dental Assisting at KDM, do my practicum for May & June, travel for July & August (I'm thinking maybe backpacking Europe? Or Thailand? Or maybe get a working visa for somewhere?) then come home and write my DA exam in September and hopefully pass and then work! So yah, that is my life as of now! I don't love living in E-town, so little trips to Jasper (yesterday) and to Southern Alberta (this weekend) help make it better, and I have just really tried to find joy in the little things!
