So on Sabbath, we had a few hours after church before dinner so we went to the Western wall, which was awesome as always, and we also found this like tunnel beside the wall that the women are allowed to go in, and it was super cool and then at the end of it you are above the men, and you can watch the pray and it's way cool!
Then on Sunday we had a field trip which was boiling hot but really fun!
This is the place where Samson lived
This is where David killed Goliath with his sling! The where he got the smooth stones from has dried up, but this is where it was! We all got slings and got to fling rocks! It was a little scary with stones flying every which way, but really fun!
Next we went to some underground caverns which were really cool!
This is called the Bell cave, and we all stood in a circle and sang hymns, and it echoed and was just one of the mot beautiful things I have ever heard!

So then on Monday we had a free day! We decided to seesome sites in the Old City. This is at the pools of Bethesda, where Jesus healed the sick, I'm not sure exactly where it is in the New testament, but it is a very beautiful place. All the water has dried up, if you were wondering where the pools where!

Ice cream in the jerusalem quarter! ferrero rochet and snickers!
The Dome of the Rock (Muslim mosque, we can't go inside, but I love it here!!)
Freshly squeezd pomegranite juice from a street vendor!
This is at the church at the pools of Bethesda. We also went to the birthplace of the Virgin Mary, which was interesting, but I didn't get any good pictures there!
Monday night we had a Seder dinner! Our Judaism teacher came and led it, and it was honestly one of the coolest things ever! I loved it!
We had to wash our hands in silence before the dinner, and there were songs throughout it that people sang, and narrators read from a hebrew book and it was just such a neat experience that I think everyone should have!!

  1. Easton would be so excited to hear you are where david killed "the giant" (as he calls goliath! lol,), and that you got to use slingshots. You are going to all the places in the Bible where the stories take place that Easton is learning about in nursery, heheh so fun. You should send him a postcard if you get a chance, he would love it. So fun that you get to experience all those awesome places! So, I've never heard of "seder" dinner, I'm guessing it has something to do with the jewish holidays??! Yom Kippur? My running class was rescheduled last week because the ppl who run it are Jewish and they had Yom Kippur.
